设计要求:教学设计需包括以下内容:

①教学目标;

②主要教学方法;

③教学步骤及设计意图;

④教学活动的具体方式与内容;

⑤教学时间规划。

小学:Part A. Let's talk

1. Teaching Objectives:

(1)Language knowledge and skills: Ss are able to understand the new sentence pattern“ Boys and girls, we have two new friends today./ Hi, I’m Amy. I’m from the UK./ Welcome!” and act it out with correct pronunciation, intonation and emotion.

(2)Process and methods: Ss are able to have self-introduction by imitating and acting out the dialogue.

(3)Emotion, attitudes and values: Ss will make friends with others all over the world.

2. Teaching key and difficult points:

(1) Ss master the key words and sentence patterns“ Boys and girls, we have two new friends today. /Hi, I’m…I’m from… /Welcome!” and make self-introduction with correct pronunciation, intonation and emotion.

(2) Ss may find it difficult to use the sentence pattern “Hi, I’m...I’m from…” to act it out.

4. Teaching Procedure:

Step 1: Warming up (2mins)

1.Listen to the song “Hi!”

2.Greetings with Ss

T: Good morning, boys and girls! Welcome back to school. Nice to see you again.

Ss: Nice to see you, too.

活动设计意图:通过快乐的歌曲让学生感知英语,让学生回到英语学习的气氛和情境中来,为进一步学习打下基础。

Step 2: Revision/Leading in(3mins)

1.Ss greets with Ss one by one

T: Hi! Nice to meet you! What's your name, please?

S1: My name is Bob.

T: Good morning! /Good afternoon!

Ss: Good morning! /Good afternoon!

2. Let Ss greet with each other

活动设计意图:教师通过示范,让学生迅速融入到用英语思考和对话的氛围中,用旧知及时引出新知。

Step 3: Presentation(15mins)

1. Act and say: T shows the dialogue in the front of the class with three Ss: Amy, Zhang Peng and Sarah. These Ss have the name tag on the coat, and their national flags on their hands, so other Ss can know their names and nations.

T: Oh, boys and girls, we have two new friends today.

T: What's your name, please?

S: I’m Amy.

T: Where are you from?

S: I'm from the UK.

T: Welcome!

Then Amy introduces herself to the class.

Amy: Hi, I'm Amy. I’m from the UK.

Ss: Welcome!

......

2. Look and match: T shows the major constructions and other pictures about the countries: China, the UK, USA ,Canada on the PPT and ask Ss to match.

3. Listen and say: Listen to the tape and learn the new sentence pattern.

活动设计意图:通过课前设计与三位英语学习基础较好的学生的配合,课上实地创设真实情境,用学生看得懂、听得清的方式,自然引入新课。

Step 4: Practice(10mins)

1. Play the train game: Ss stand up and have the self introduction one by one,and T responses:“Welcome!/Nice to meet you!”。

2. Group work: act out the dialogue with the sentence pattern in Let’s talk.

A:(to B and points C)Look, I have a new friend today.

C: Hi, I'm Lily. I am from China.

B: Nice to meet you.

3. Dub the dialogue: dub the cartoon characters like Micky, Monkey King, Snow white shown on the PPT and act the dialogue.

Hello, I'm Mickey. I am from the USA.

Hi, I'm Sun Wukong. I am from China.

活动设计意图:通过与本课内容有关的游戏并创设各种对话情境,让学生在轻松自然的氛围中习得知识。

Step 5: Consolidation(8mins)

1. Listen and number: listen to the tape and number the correct order with the right sentence heard in the tape.

2. Write and check: Ss finish the exercises.

活动设计意图:1.通过课件展示和句型操练,让学生更熟练地运用本课句型进行会话。

2.通过完成配套练习,检查和落实本课内容。

Step 6: Summing up/Homework(2mins)

Evaluate the performance of the students in class.

1. Introduce oneself to the partner after class.

2. Write down the sentence pattern five times on the textbook.

活动设计意图:回顾总结本课所学知识,加强学生对知识的掌握。

6. Teaching Reflection

(1) Overall, the teaching procedure is designed according to the teaching material and learning condition.

(2) It’s a learner-centered lesson, in which Ss are encouraged to learn through experiencing, cooperating and exploring.

(3) However, due to the time limitation, Ss may find it hard to act it out with correct pronunciation and intonation. T should pay attention to the arrangement and discipline management due to the variety of activities.
